TMACOG had outgrown its name. After decades of service to the region, the organization’s identity no longer reflected the breadth of its work, the communities it serves, or the vision it holds for the future. A new name was needed — one that was rooted in place, clear in purpose, and built to last. Lake Erie West Regional Council grounds the organization in the geography it calls home while signaling its role as a convening force across the region. It’s a name that works for elected officials and everyday residents alike. Authoritative without being bureaucratic. Specific without being limiting.
With a new name came the opportunity to build a brand identity from the ground up. The visual system draws directly from the natural landscape of the Western Lake Erie watershed, translating its waterways, shorelines, and seasonal rhythms into a palette of blues, teals, and greens that feel both grounded and forward-looking. The logo mark follows the same thinking: layered, flowing forms that evoke movement, connection, and shared responsibility across the region.
The messaging platform — Empowering Connection. Amplifying Impact. — captures the Council’s core belief that collaboration is the engine of regional progress. The brand voice is clear, confident, and community-minded, speaking to partners and stakeholders without losing sight of the residents whose lives the Council’s work ultimately affects. Every element of this system was built to work together and hold up over time. The result is an identity that reflects who Lake Erie West Regional Council is today, and gives the organization the platform it needs to grow.
